Q. My certificate has expired. How can I get a new one?
A. In order to get a new certificate you must retake the course by simply re-registering using a different email than you used before. If you have taken the course with us previously, you will not be charged to take the course again. Email us at support@debtorcc.org when you reach the payment page and do not enter your credit card information.
Q. I finished the course. How can I get my certificate?
A. Log in at the top right of this page using the email address you registered with and follow the instructions to get your certificate(s).
Q. I was kicked off the course and can't get back in. What should I do?
A. Make sure you are logged out by clicking "Log Out" at the top right of the page. If you are already logged out, enter your Email and Password at the top right of the page and click "Login".
Q. My attorney did not receive my certificate. What should I do?
A. Send an email to support@debtorcc.org with your First Name, Last Name, Last 4 of SSN and your Attorney’s Email address, and we will send a copy there right away.
Q. The course keeps repeating itself and won't let me continue. What should I do?
A. Update your browser. Some older versions of the browser you may be using may not be supporting our website. Once you have updated your browser you should no longer experience any issues.
Q. How can I get another copy of my certificate?
A. Log in at the top right of this page using the email address you registered with and follow the instructions to get your certificate(s).
Q. I am trying to login to take the course but the system will not recognize my email address. What should I do?
A. You must first register for the course. If you have registered but still cannot get in send an email to support@debtorcc.org with your First Name, Last Name, and Last 4 of SSN, and we will get you in.
Q. I did not request my certificate. How can I request a refund?
A. Send an email to support@debtorcc.org with your First Name, Last Name, and Last 4 of SSN, and request a refund.
Q. Who needs to take this bankruptcy credit counseling course?
A. This course should be taken prior to filing for bankruptcy. This is the first bankruptcy course that must be taken. This course is also known as the pre-filing bankruptcy credit counseling, bankruptcy credit counseling, pre-bankruptcy credit counseling or credit counseling certification.
Q. Is your course approved by the US Trustees?
A. Yes. The bankruptcy credit counseling course provided by Debtorcc.org is approved by the US Trustees.
Q. What States are you approved in?
A. We are approved to provide this debtor education course in all US States and Territories except Alabama and North Carolina. Alabama and North Carolina are not under the jurisdiction of the United States Trustee Program.
Q. Do I have to take a test?
A. No. This is a no-fail course – you cannot fail it. As long as you spend a minimum of 1 hour reading the material and speak to a credit counselor during regular business hours of Monday - Friday 9am to Midnight EST, you will have successfully completed the first bankruptcy course.
Q. How do I get a copy of the certificate of completion?
A. Your certificate of completion can be emailed, faxed or mailed to you. If you have an attorney, a duplicate copy of your certificate will be provided to your attorney.
Q. Will you send a copy of my certificate to my attorney?
A. Yes. If you indicate that you have an attorney, we will submit a copy of the certificate of completion to your attorney.
Q. Do I have to complete the course in one sitting?
A. No. If you log off the pre-filing bankruptcy credit counseling without completing it, the system will remember where you left off once you log back in. You can finish the course at your own pace. The course is available 24 hours, 7 days a week.
Q. What happens after I receive my certificate?
A.You will have to file the certificate with the appropriate bankruptcy court evidencing that you completed the course. If you have an attorney, your attorney should file the certificate with the court for you along with your bankruptcy petition.

Q. What information do I need to register?
A. You need the following information to register for the first bankruptcy course: date of birth and last 4 digits of your social security number.
Q. Is it safe to input my credit card information on your website?
A. Yes. We use Authorize.net to process payments. All payments will be made over a secure encrypted connection so credit card numbers and private details cannot be stolen in transit. This is as secure as online ordering can be. All payment processing is handled by Authorize.net which process thousands of transactions per day.
Q. Can my spouse and I take the course together?
A. Yes. You and your spouse can register and take the bankruptcy credit counseling course together or separately.
